SASE (Secure Access Service Edge)
Cloud-delivered networking and security that gives users and branches consistent access and protection anywhere.
Overview
Users access any application from anywhere on any device — yet most networks are still built around headquarters. Branch traffic backhauls before reaching the internet, slowing SaaS and video; branches stack firewalls, web filters and VPN concentrators with policies covering only fragments; mobile users connect directly and bypass inspection entirely. Experience and security become a trade-off.
SASE delivers networking and security from a cloud platform via nearby points of presence: secure web gateway filtering, CASB for SaaS and shadow IT, firewall-as-a-service enforcing consistent policy, ZTNA replacing traditional VPN and SD-WAN optimising paths. Users connect at the nearest PoP instead of backhauling, improving both speed and protection.
Operations benefit too: all sites and mobile users managed from one console, policy pushed everywhere at once, new branches onboarded by registration rather than hardware procurement. Most organisations start with ZTNA and internet security, then replace branch appliances. GSAFE supports vendor evaluation, PoC validation and phased migration.
